Nona Ballet’s Academy Division provides classical ballet training rooted in the Vaganova method, emphasizing technique, artistry, and discipline. Students refine their craft through consistent study and performance opportunities that prepare them for advanced training and the stage.

Level 1 (Ages 8 - 11)

Level 1 (Ages 8 - 11)
Level 1 builds on ballet fundamentals with more intensive training and focused pre-pointe preparation. Classes include an introduction to character dance and repertoire while emphasizing coordination, strength, and alignment. This level moves at a faster pace, and students without prior ballet experience will be placed in Pre-Ballet 2.

Level 2 continues to strengthen technical precision and control while deepening musicality and artistry. Training includes pointe preparation, character dance, and repertoire, with increased intensity and complexity in movement and combinations. Students refine coordination, endurance, and expression as they progress toward the advanced levels of the Academy Division.

Levels 3 and 4 deepen each dancer’s technique and performance maturity. Training includes pointe, repertoire, character, and modern, allowing students to apply their skills in more expressive and demanding work. They participate in pas de deux workshops and perform in Nona Ballet’s productions, gaining valuable stage experience and artistic confidence.
