Paquita Week

Academy Ballet Series | Ages 12 - 18

Step into the brilliance and elegance of Paquita, one of the most celebrated classical showpieces in the ballet repertoire. Throughout the week, dancers will explore the precision, musicality, and refined technique that define this iconic ballet. Inspired by the famous Paquita Grand Pas and corps de ballet sections, dancers will focus on clarity of footwork, épaulement, and the strength and control required for classical repertoire.

This week emphasizes precision, coordination, and artistry, helping dancers refine their classical line while developing confidence and performance quality. Elements of Spanish-inspired style will be introduced to support the character and musicality of the ballet.

The week concludes with an in-studio showcase highlighting the repertoire and artistry developed throughout the week.

Daily Training Includes:

• Classical Technique Class
• Paquita Repertoire
• Conditioning
• Pointe Work
• Stretch & Flexibility Training
• Artistic Lab

Dancers will learn excerpts inspired by the Paquita Grand Pas, develop musicality and precision through classical choreography, and experience what it feels like to rehearse classical repertoire with focus and discipline.

The Artistic Lab rotates daily and includes hair and makeup workshops, ballet history, performance etiquette, viewing professional excerpts, pointe shoe preparation, and discussions on artistry and interpretation.
