Le Corisaire Week
Academy Ballet Series | Ages 7–12
Step into the vibrant world of Le Corsaire, a ballet known for its brilliance, virtuosity, and dramatic storytelling. Throughout the week, dancers will explore the bold classical style and theatrical energy that make this ballet a favorite in the repertoire.
Training will focus on the powerful and expressive qualities that define Le Corsaire, including dynamic allegro, precise footwork, confident épaulement, and strong stage presence. Dancers will study excerpts from the famous Jardin Animé scene and other sections of the ballet, developing musicality, coordination, and the clarity of movement required for classical repertoire.
This week emphasizes energy, precision, and performance quality while continuing to refine classical technique and artistry.
The week concludes with an in-studio showcase highlighting the repertoire and artistry developed throughout the program.
